I’ll never forget the feeling. I had been working with the same company for over 10 years. While I never considered my job to be the ideal job, I felt a sense of security. Everything changed when my supervisor called me into his office and said that the company was downsizing; there I was left without a job. I had a lot of computer skills, but it seems like everyone does these days. A friend told me about the field of computer forensics and thought it would be the perfect career for me. I was a little unsure at first about what I would be learning in a program for computer forensics training. As I researched more I became more convinced that this was the right path for me. It was hard to believe all of the cutting edge things that are being taught in computer forensics training. There were real opportunities for me to learn about computer-aided investigative techniques, software security, cryptology and security algorithms, and many other interesting and practical topics.
I also learned about some of the career opportunities available to me after I complete my education. There is a big need for computer forensics investigators, computer security personnel and other computer forensics related careers. Computer crimes have been on a steady rise for the past few years and law enforcement desperately need qualified people that have received computer forensics training to assist them in apprehending these online criminals.
Taking a course in computer forensics training was the best choice for me. I am on track to complete my training next year. I didn’t enjoy losing my job, but it did lead me down the path to an exciting new career thanks to the computer forensics training that I have received
